API Keys
API keys authenticate requests to the Orca geolocation API. Eligible Pro accounts can create personal keys. Organization-scoped access is provisioned after an Enterprise integration review.
Personal and organization keys
API access is self-serve for individual development, testing, and low-volume internal use. Open Platform → API keys → Create API key while using your personal workspace. Starter and Pro include API access, and any account that has bought credits can create a key. API calls use the same credits as the app, at the same depth cost. For organizational, client-facing, batch, or production use, contact Oceanir with your company, use case, expected volume, and timeline. Enterprise integrations receive organization-scoped keys and contracted limits.
Important: Provisioned keys are secrets. Store the supplied key server-side and never expose it in client code.

Check the limits shown with your key. Personal Pro keys and organization keys have different rate and credit limits.

Revoking a key
Revoked keys are invalidated immediately. New requests will receive 401 Unauthorized.
Programmatic management
Organization key creation requires active API access and a role permitted to manage keys. Workspace access alone does not activate API or MCP access. Contact support@oceanir.ai to enable this feature.
