Use the platform

From an observation to a reviewed record

Use the platform to enter your workspace, review activity, and reach the tools for ongoing work. Today, image analysis and saved cases open in the app; credentials, usage, and organization controls live in Platform.

1. Enter the right workspace

Open Oceanir Platform and choose Sign in. On Home, use the workspace selector to choose your personal workspace or a provisioned organization. If access is unavailable, check Plan & access or ask your organization owner.

Workspace access, REST API activation, and MCP access are separate permissions. An organization awaiting API activation can have reserved credits without working API credentials. See Enterprise setup.

2. Provide an observation

From Home, choose Analyze an image. This opens the app. Upload a supported image and choose the analysis depth. Check the access and credit cost shown before starting. Keep the source and capture time, if known, in your case notes; do not infer a timestamp from an upload date.

3. Inspect the result

Compare the leading location estimate with the original image. Read the visual clues, precision, and alternatives when available. A confidence score does not establish that a location is correct. Deeper analysis can still return uncertainty.

4. Carry the work forward

For a personal saved workflow, choose Save to case on an app result. Open Continue a case from Platform Home to return to the Cases page. Cases require an eligible paid account. They keep related analyses and notes together.

  1. Create a case with New Case and name the question you are trying to answer.
  2. Attach results using Save to case in the app.
  3. Open the case and record supporting evidence, uncertainty, and the next observation to obtain in its notes.
  4. When you receive another image, analyze it and attach that result to the same case.
  5. Review both results, update the notes, and mark the case Closed when the work is complete.

The case is the current container for this workflow. Notes do not dispatch tasks or messages. Opening the personal app does not automatically transfer work into your selected organization.

5. Check what is saved

Saved history depends on your retention settings. With history disabled, an analysis may complete without a retained image or result. Platform usage can still show metered activity. Keep a permitted export if you need a durable record; never assume the usage log stores the evidence.

Try the workflow

The street-scene example lets you run a real D1 analysis, add review notes, request another observation, and export the review. It stays in this page until you leave or reload and does not create a case in your account.
